Over the course of the day I find myself drinking endless cups of coffee to keep myself awake and alert. As I mentioned in my Self Care during the last push of a PhD post, I haven’t been doing too well in that department recently and sleep is an issue.
So, in my pursuit of better habits this past week I have discovered the most wonderful concoction for a calmness that will counteract the caffeine high to crash scenario. No folks, it is not wine.
Here’s the recipe for any that are interested and not allergic to any of the ingredients:
x1 pinch of ground cinnamon
x1 teaspoon of real maple syrup
3 to 4 cardamon pods (whole)
Place all in a cup, add boiling water, stir, and enjoy! Hope it works as well for you.
